Electroerosion wire cutting of technical ceramics
Habovštiaková, Mária ; Mouralová, Kateřina (referee) ; Osička, Karel (advisor)
The presented diploma thesis deals with the issue of wire electrical discharge machining of SiSiC ceramics. The first part explains the principles of electrical discharge machining, describes the WEDM technology and presents the properties of the advanced ceramics. The second part consists of a detailed analysis of the cutting process of eighteen samples obtained with systematically changing process parameters. Based on the obtained results from EDX analysis, SEM electron microscopy and topography there was performed an analysis of the influence of process parameters on the cutting speed, surface roughness, kerf width and number of wire breaks with usage of the selected brass cutting wire. From the evaluated results it was possible to select a combination of parameters that ensured a stable machining process.
Wire electrical discharge machining
Gvizd, Michal ; Mouralová, Kateřina (referee) ; Osička, Karel (advisor)
Bachelor thesis elaborated during the bachelor study discusses the electrical discharge cutting of materials with a wire electrode and its usage in industry. The thesis is divided into two fundamental parts –the theoretical and the experimental one. The theoretical part describes the historical development, explains the basic principle and fundamentals of this unconventional way of machining with the definition of methods using this technology. The thesis is focused on the electrical discharge machining, thus gougers are mentioned only peripherally. Afterwards, the wire electrodes used, main machine parts, cutting conditions and advantages of this technology are analyzed in detail. The experimental part deals with the evaluation of cutting surfaces of the sample components with respect to dimension accuracy, surface quality and describes factors which affect these characteristics. The emphasis is put on the machining of the tool steel. Conclusion discusses the analysis of the assembled measurements, their technological/economical analysis and outlines the direction of development in the possibilities of this unconventional technology of material separation.
Design of production technology of shaped cover
Doležal, Václav ; Štroner, Marek (referee) ; Dvořák, Milan (advisor)
This thesis presents a design technology of forming a shaped lid focused on cutting, bending, drawing, as well as trimming and making the required holes. There is described several basic variants of sheet metal forming based on the literature. Production of holes of specified cover, for an annual production of 100 pieces of shaped lid, is solved by unconventional technologies. From subsequent economic evaluation of selected technologies is chosen an appropriate technology to minimize production costs.
Technology of wire electrical discharge machining
Galko, Adam ; Mouralová, Kateřina (referee) ; Osička, Karel (advisor)
This thesis talk about practical application of wire electrical discharge machining (WEDM), which belongs to electro-erosion machining methods. This thesis is focused on the production of cutting dies produced by company FOR MIX s.r.o. Trenčín. We can consider the cutting die as a typical product of company´s product program. In the practical part of this diploma thesis, there is detail of technological aspects and operating costs for wire electrical discharge machining technology in specific condition of company FOR MIX s.r.o.

Then the work deals with the wire cutting in terms of wires, machines and cutting conditions and benefits of this technology. In the last chapter the work is focused on trends and news in wire electrical discharge machining and also describes the possibilities of this technology.
Wire Electrical Discharge Machining.
Bartoš, Pavel ; Mouralová, Kateřina (referee) ; Osička, Karel (advisor)
This work deals with analysis of EDM wire cutting technology and aims to assess the current situation and the real possibilities of EDM wire cutting usage in a small engineering company. Furthermore, it addresses manufacturing technology of a model component and the subsequent economic evaluation.
Application of wire electrodischarge technology
Barabáš, Martin ; Mouralová, Kateřina (referee) ; Osička, Karel (advisor)
This marter’s thesis deals with the technology of electrical discharge wire cutting. There is described the basic nature of the electrical erosion, EDM principle and WEDM principle. The main part deals with the application of wire cutting in the manufacture pulley 68-8M-130 with a description of technology on the wire cutter Excetek V 650. At the end of the work is devoted to the statistical evaluation of the precision machined surfaces.
Cutting of measuring hard-metal triple contacts by ED technology
Smital, Pavel ; Kalivoda, Milan (referee) ; Dvořák, Jaromír (advisor)
This work deals with unconventional machining methods focused primarily on the wire EDM cutting. The introduction describes the basic principles and essence of electrical discharge machining. The practical part is focused on solving the current problem - reducing scrap of measuring triple contacts in the production company Kovo Jančo.
Production technology for selected mold part
Mešina, Matej ; Ohnišťová, Petra (referee) ; Zemčík, Oskar (advisor)
The primary concern to be dealt with within the framework of this bachelor thesis is the concept of the variant of production technology of the mold core. The work deals marginally with the wire electrical discharge machining. Second chapter is concerned with the analysis of current production technology. Two new variants of the production technology process are introduced in third and fourth chapter. The last part of this work is dedicated to the techno-economical assessment of the proposed variants
MODERN TECHNOLOGIES IN WIRE ELECTRICAL DISCHARGE MACHINING THE METAL ALLOYS
Mouralová, Kateřina ; Karpíšek, Zdeněk (referee) ; Pokorný, Peter (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
The dissertation is focused on streamlining production on wire electric discharge machine during cutting metal alloys, specifically low-alloy steel quality by CSN 41 4220. The first part contains a study of the current and modern technologies EDM wire cutting. The second part is focused on identifying key parameters to influence the WEDM process, a detailed analysis of the machined surfaces of samples and wire electrodes used for cutting. The result of this work was to explore the possibility, whether by performing planned experiment and subsequent evaluation in the future to determine exactly setting the key parameters influencing the process of WEDM.
